KYC and seller verification policy

Why

Indian e-commerce rules ask marketplaces to know their sellers, and verification protects buyers from fraud.

What we collect

• Individual: full legal name as on PAN, PAN, address, mobile, and one identity document (PAN card, masked Aadhaar, passport, voter ID or driving licence).
• Business: the same for the authorised person, plus business name, GSTIN where registered, and the GST or incorporation certificate.
• For Aadhaar, upload only a masked copy showing the last four digits. We never ask for your Aadhaar number.

How we store it

PAN and documents are encrypted on Gauci's servers in India and seen only by the verification team. We keep KYC records while you sell and then as long as the law requires, then delete them.

Decisions

We check that names, PAN, GSTIN and address match. We approve, or reject with a reason you can fix and resend. You can appeal to grievance@gauci.in.
