Seller and marketplace terms

Extra terms for selling services and domains, hiring and showcasing on Gauci.

Who these terms are for

These terms add to the Gauci Terms of Service for anyone who lists on Gauci Gigs, Gauci Domain Market, Gauci Hire or Gauci Showcase.

Gauci's role

Gauci is a marketplace platform (an intermediary). Buyers and sellers contract directly with each other. Gauci is not a party to their deal unless Gauci payments are used, when Gauci collects and releases payment as the marketplace operator.

Seller verification

To sell on Gauci Gigs or Gauci Domain Market you must complete seller verification (KYC): legal name, PAN, address, mobile and an identity document; GSTIN where you are registered. You may list once you submit; listings come down if verification is rejected.

Listings

  • Describe services and domains truthfully, with the price in rupees including what is included.
  • You must own, or be authorised to sell, any domain you list; we check ownership by DNS.
  • No prohibited items (see Community guidelines).

Fees

Listing is free. When payments through Gauci open: Gauci Gigs seller commission 12% and buyer fee 3.3%; Gauci Hire freelancer fee 6% and client fee 3%; Gauci Domain Market commission 9%. GST applies on Gauci's fees. We will give 30 days' notice before any fee starts.

Taxes

Sellers are responsible for their own income tax and GST. When payments open, Gauci will collect and deposit tax at source where the law requires (for example TCS under GST and TDS under the Income-tax Act for e-commerce operators) and give you statements.

Disputes

Try to resolve with the other person in Gauci messages first. If that fails, open a Support Center case; we may review messages about the deal to help.

Consumer protection

Gauci follows the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020: seller details are shown to buyers, we name a Grievance Officer, and we do not manipulate prices. We acknowledge every grievance within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days.
