Gauci for everyone.
We build Gauci so that people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification, captions or voice control can use it fully, on a phone or a computer.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the standard used by the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW 3.0) and by Indian Standard IS 17802, and the duties in the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
Our release checklist covers keyboard use, screen readers (NVDA on Windows, TalkBack on Android, VoiceOver on iPhone and Mac), browser zoom up to 200% and a 360-pixel-wide phone screen. An automated check opens every page and screen each day.
What works today
Keyboard Live
Every page and app screen works with the keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
Screen readers Live
Headings, labels, landmarks and alternative text on images; status messages are announced.
Not by colour alone Live
Live, Planned and Coming labels use words, not only colour. Text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1.
Zoom and phones Live
Pages reflow at 200% zoom and on 360-pixel phones without sideways scrolling.
Time limits Live
No time limits on forms except one-time sign-in codes, which you can resend at any time.
Plain language Live
Short sentences, clear buttons and error messages that say how to fix the problem.
