Your data, kept in India.
Gauci runs in a data centre in Mumbai. Here is what that means for the safety and availability of your data.
Where Gauci runs
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Cloud provider | Amazon Web Services (AWS) |
| Region | Asia Pacific (Mumbai), ap-south-1, India |
| What is stored there | Your account, posts, websites, listings, job applications, documents you upload and backups |
| Email delivery | Amazon Simple Email Service, India and United States regions, only to send the emails you ask for |
| Other countries | Only when a service you use needs it (for example a social network you post to). These services are listed in the Privacy Policy. |
How it is protected
Encrypted connections Live
Every page and API call uses HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or newer) with HSTS.
Encrypted secrets Live
Identity documents, payment settings and the keys you add are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are saved.
Least access Live
Only the company's administrators can reach the servers, and the Gauci admin console needs an administrator account. Staff see customer data only to give support you asked for.
Backups Live
A consistent copy of the database is made every night and kept for 14 days.
Monitoring Live
The service is checked every 5 minutes and restarted automatically if it stops; a full health check runs every day at 2 pm India time.
Incidents Live
Security incidents are reported to CERT-In within 6 hours and personal data breaches to the Data Protection Board and affected people as the DPDP Act requires.
Your choices
You can download your data or delete your account at any time from Account settings. Deleted data leaves backups within 14 days.
Business customers who need their data in a specific region can ask about it in an Enterprise contract (gauci.in/contact-sales).
